    This is an in-depth theory course associated with Basic Life Support. It describes: how to assess the deteriorating person using the ABCD approach, actions to take if a person is choking, when and how to put someone in the recovery position, how to identify a cardiac arrest, how to initiate and maintain effective lung ventilation, how to initiate and maintain effective chest compressions, how to use an Automated External Defibrillator, how to report and record details of an emergency event, how to report and record details of an emergency event, and the management of CPR during COVID-19. This module is CPD accredited.
