  • Know how to accurately and safely measure and record a resident's blood glucose
  • Explain the importance of managing the blood pressure and cholesterol levels of people with diabetes

  • About this course

    This in-depth course covers the standard principles and best practice guidelines in relation to working with and supporting people living with diabetes. It looks at epidemiology of diabetes mellutis in the UK; possible complications and how to accurately measure and monitor blood glucose levels. Insulin safety and the management of emergency situations related to diabetes, including diabetic ketone acidosis (DKA) and hypoglycemia. This module is CPD accredited.
