About this course

This module covers the standard principles and best practice guidelines in relation to Safeguarding Children/Child Protection. The course covers definitions of types and indicators of abuse, actions to be taken in the event of an allegation of abuse or concern involving a child or young person, how to report suspected abuse and the relevant legislation in England, Northern Ireland and Scotland. The module also covers the important issues of female genital mutilation (FGM), child trafficking, radicalisation, electronic media abuse and sexual exploitation. The course is CPD accredited and CSTF aligned at level 1 and 2. This module is CPD accredited.
